I don’t have a lot to write about pertaining to Christmas this year – it was hard, again, and I think I would like to have some happy posts now that some hard milestones are behind me. 🙂

I would like to share a very special Christmas gift that was given to us this year. Sitting at my Aunt’s house for our family’s Christmas celebration, we started opening presents. Usually my mom, dad, sister and I open our presents at my mom’s house after the big family part is over. So I was surprised when my sister handed me a gift bag and told me to open it there. Not thinking anything of it, I made my way through the gifts each family member had given me, and then opened my sister’s. I remember just staring at it for a few seconds, speechless. I knew what it was and who it was for, and the emotions I had been holding in all day came pouring out. I cried my eyes out for a few minutes, and noticed that my whole family had stopped in their tracks and were watching me. My sister, Krista, looked at me with a very satisfied smile and said “I made it!”. I am a very sentimental person; it’s always the hand written cards and hand made nick-knacks that are my favorites around the holidays. But this gift was so much more – my sister spent so much time and energy knitting this for Liam, it may very well be the most precious gift we receive for him. Liam loves you so much, Auntie Krista!!
A merry little belly: Here’s Kristen on Christmas Eve!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas full of love and thanks. I am thankful for all of you, near and far!
Hugs!
Jamie
